🏛️ The Research Lab Library

,

Hello Lightning Tamers!

Step inside the Research Lab Library, where the glow of neon and plasma meets the quiet hum of a well-thumbed archive. Here, you’ll find a carefully curated collection of books, articles, videos, and rare documents gathered from across the globe—some freely available online, others unearthed, scanned, or translated through countless hours of research.

This library began as a side project during my residency at the Corning Museum of Glass, taking some time to browse the Rakow Research Library, and quickly became a collaborative journey with Sean Bradley of Research Lab, whose keen eye for overlooked treasures continues to shape its direction. Together, we’ve built a resource that balances accessibility with depth: Free Resources you can read or watch anywhere, and Patreon Resources—often rare, out-of-print, or untranslated works—made available thanks to the support of those who believe in preserving and sharing luminous history.

Think of this space as part archive, part field guide. It’s a place where you can dig into the science, trace the artistry, and see the lineage of ideas that brought neon and plasma to life. And because these sources are cited and linked, you can follow the trail yourself—whether you’re a curious newcomer, a practicing artist, or a fellow researcher mapping the ever-expanding world of light.
