I created my website in 2012 at the start of my interest in the art of glassblowing, and in 2017 I added my blog and podcast, Taming Lightning, in order to build a deeper interest in plasma-illuminated art that required building a network and community in the field, and a greater understanding of glass making and the other scientific aspects of vacuum and electricity. And for seven almost long years, I’ve developed the knowledge that allowed me to create accessibility at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, adding skills like video editing, sponsorship, social media, marketing, presentations, and live streaming alongside developing my own artwork.
So now I realized the limitation of my previous website builder, and I’m taking the steps to move everything onto WordPress, so for some time the website will look underdeveloped as I work bit by bit every day to get things in place.
So what’s so great about moving to WordPress?
- More freedom to customize and Design the website.
- The ability to create templates for my blog for faster posting.
- Powerful tools and plugins to add features that were unavailable to me before.
- And the ability to integrate various sources allows me to run taming lightning into one Singular platform.
