🔒Dev Log #1 — Building VIGIL, Part 1: PVM10 Mounting Design

Below is a sneak peek of this content!

Amongst running the rest of Taming Lightning, I still find ways to make my own work. This dev log covers two things I’ve been building for the Stealing Fire, Taming Lightning grant project: the PVM10 mounting system I moved to after Tech 22’s Midget Script burned out twice in one exhibition, and VIGIL — the module I’m designing to replace a rat’s nest of hand-wired sensors and fans with something clean, plug-and-play, and built to keep plasma work running longer.
New dev log up: two Tech 22 transformers, four days apart, both burned out running the same piece — and it’s what finally pushed me off their plasma drivers for good. First look at what I built instead: the PVM10 mounting system, plus VIGIL, the module replacing a whole enclosure’s worth of hand-wired sensors, fans, and relays with one clean plug-and-play board. Full write-up for patrons.
