From the early days of the American studio glass movement to the upcoming United Nations International Year of Glass, GAS continues to foster connections across generations, disciplines, and borders. Join them in celebrating 50 years of Glass Art Society as they present the 2022 GAS Conference in Tacoma, Washington, USA, from May 18 through 21. âThe Plasma Art Alliance will be hosting a Book Premier for Wayne Strattmanâs new book The Art of Plasma: creating lighted sculpture with gas, glass, and electricity during the 2022 Glass Art Society Conference. Strattman reveals the history, theory, and practice of plasma art to give the practitioner both context and practical information to work within this dynamic medium. To celebrate the first book dedicated to the medium of plasma sculpture join us Thursday, May 19th from 5 to 7pm at Spaceworks downtown location at 1120 pacific ave in Tacoma. All are Welcome!
