LIGHT IN TRANSMISSION: A NEON AND PLASMA LIGHT EXHIBITION
Light in Transmision, curated by Percy Echols II, is a survey of the diverse range of light art within the shared medium of neon of both neon and plasma sculpture. Percy Echols II is an artist, creator of the podcast “Taming Lightning” and PGC’s first recipient of the Ron Desmett Memorial Award for Imagination with Glass. Funded by The Fisher Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments, this exhibition features the works of 14 artists whom I’ve met since moving to Pittsburgh in the last four years.

The facility will host “Light in Transmission,” its first neon and plasma art exhibition, opening Friday. Mr. Echols served as curator for the exhibition, which surveys the work of 16 artists working in a diverse range of light art within the media of both neon and plasma sculpture. The exhibition will be on view in person and online through May 9.
