Over the last 30 years Ed Biggar and David Svenson have been sharing their knowledge independently and together making illuminated glass objects come to life. How do they do this? Come join us for a two-day indepth workshop. Ed and David invite flame workers and all to experience the amazing world of noble gasses contained in glass producing the magic world of “Plasma”. This class will be an exciting introduction to the basic techniques used to get lightening bolts and otherworldly glowing effects in your hollow glass forms from the experts. Bring your own hollow glass creations to the class (instructors will provide requirements via email) or make them here and let the magic happen. All this is done with single, double or no electrode technology using radio frequency power supplies. Let the noble NEON, ARGON, KRYPTON and XENON be with us! Add a bit of Tesla technology and YOUR glass skills and you will be on your way to following the light! This workshop is a “must” for those of you working with hollow glass creations. The “Ed and Dave” photo presentation will be brought to you by the MUSEUM OF NEON ART (MONA), Glendale,CA At the end of class the student will have the opportunity to illuminate their work and take home at least one finished piece.
